Consultation

Family Care Medical Services works collaboratively with general practices and other health professionals to ensure best practice in the provision of after hours primary medical care. We actively encourage patients to provide feedback through the provision of regular reply paid and anonymous surveys.

Accessibility

Family Care Medical Services provides access to after hours primary medical care during the Commonwealth defined after hours period. No patient is refused access to treatment on the basis of their sex, age, religion, ethnicity, sexual preference or medical condition.

Service Commitment

Family Care Medical Services strives to ensure the highest integrity and diligence of management and adherence to ethical business practice through advanced infrastructure to complement best practice service delivery. We strive to best practice in General Practitioner recruitment, induction, monitoring and ongoing support of all doctors.

Continuous Quality Improvement

Family Care Medical Services has an advanced continuous quality improvement program and is quality assured to the ISO:1902 QA standard.
Family Care Medical Services holds accreditation certificates from AGPAL in accordance with the 3rd edition of the RACGP standards for General Practice.

Redress

Family Care Medical Services management and medical directors are personally available for the resolution of all complaints.

Accountability and Audit

Family Care Medical Services is accountable to the Royal Australian College of General Practice in respect of its compliance with the accreditation and audit of general practice and medical deputising. Family Care Medical Services is also an AGPAL accredited deputising service.

Philantropy through the WANTZ committee

Every year Family Care Medical Services makes a significant donation to a chosen charity to be used inclusively for the purchase of equipment. Past recipients include the Hear and Say Centre, MS Society and the Queensland Institute of Medical Research.
